Description & Services
Description of service(s) The NB FASD Centre of Excellence is a provincial, bilingual program. Our mission is to offer services that will include prevention, diagnostic, intervention and support to families and professionals working with individuals affected by FASD. We do 24 diagnostic assessments per year and we are currently the only bilingual clinic in Canada, and we are the lone diagnostic clinic east of Ontario.
The NB FASD Center of excellence accepts referrals from professionals or families of children and youth aged 0 to 18, who may have been exposed prenatally to alcohol. In order to make a diagnosis of FASD, the team will need to confirm prenatal alcohol exposure.
We also offer intervention and support to clients (youth and adults) with a previous diagnosis of FASD.
