|Description of service(s)||With immediate telephone access to bilingual Registered Nurses the Sexually Transmitted Infections Information Line provides free, confidential health advice regarding sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS and blood-borne pathogens such as Hepatitis C, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via toll-free telephone lines.
Note: The service can handle Tele-typewriting or Text telephone (TTY) calls.
The Registered Nurses will provide accurate general information on STI's (including HIV/AIDS and blood-borne pathogens such as Hepatitis C), education, and advice on self-care or can help you decide whether to make an appointment with your doctor, go to a clinic, contact a community service such as a Sexual Health Centre or go to a hospital emergency room.
