| Description of service(s) | Agar Work Room is one of 8 career resource centers (Work Rooms) in Southern New Brunswick. The Work Rooms are developed through a joint partnership between the Department of Postsecondary Education Training and Labour and the Anglophone South School District. to address key challenges facing school to work transition, when seeking employment and strategies to build a successful career. It is open to all students and the general public. The Work Rooms offer state-of-the art technology to facilitate providing information regarding career planning, job search and labour market. This includes workshops, seminars, information sessions, access to internet ready computers to access job sites, develop resumes and utilize assessment tools designed to assist with career development. A wide range of career videos, software programs and handouts are also available. If you want to know what skills you need to enter, stay in and succeed in the world of work, The Work Room has the answers. There are Work Rooms located at Kennebecasis Valley High School, Sussex Regional High School, Belleisle Regional High School, Simonds High School, Agar Place (Saint John), Fundy High School, St. Stephen High School, and Ganong Place (St. Stephen). |
