Description & Services
Description of service(s) The Quispamsis Figure Skating Club offers learn to skate programs and figure skating programs to skaters of all ages beginning at the Pre-Canskate level, ages 3 and up. Pre-Canskate is offered as a two day program on Mondays and Fridays for 30 minutes each or as a one day program on Saturdays for 30 minutes. The next level is the Canskate program. In this program, skaters have the opportunity to earn badges and ribbons as they progress through the six different levels of Canskate while learning and perfecting various required skills and elements. Upon the completion of the Canskate program and its basic skating skills, skaters will have the option to continue on with figure skating in the STARSkate or Competitive Skate programs at the Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels. Here, they will begin testing their skills and/or begin to compete at various competitions. Days and times vary according to program levels. The Canskate program also prepares skaters to move in other directions such as hockey, speed skating and ringette.
