Description of service(s) Ridgewood is a community based addiction service of the Horizon Health Network, Addiction & Mental Health Services, Saint John area. A broad range of services, inpatient and outpatient, are provided to chemically dependent individuals, compulsive gamblers, their families, and the community.  
 
Services include: 
 
1. Detoxification – Inpatient treatment for the withdrawal from alcohol and drugs 
 
2. Assessment – A comprehensive interview/assessment to determine the impact of substance abuse/problem gambling, assess needs, and connect the individual with the right service 
 
3. Outpatient Counselling – Supportive counselling for youth, adults and/or family members on an outpatient basis 
 
4. Methadone Maintenance – Outpatient methadone treatment for opioid dependence 
 
5. Group Counselling & Support – Recovery themed, weekly outpatient groups 
 
6. Referral – Capacity to link individuals with appropriate specialized services, community-based agencies or self-help groups. 
 
7. Rehabilitation – 4-week residential recovery experience for individuals who are clean and sober but require a more intensive treatment to support ongoing recovery and positive lifestyle change.
